Negativity Fast @ 12:15 AM

"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"
~ Dr. Seuss

The negativity in the world seems to be overflowing now a days. I know it is so hard to keep positive when troubles are looking us right in the face. My hope is that instead of "wanting", "giving" shall take it's place. Instead of putting our focus on all the "bad" our spouse or children dish out, the "good" will cover those negative thoughts. Like Dr. Seuss says...instead of drowning in our "troubles", lets take them head on!!! I know this is much easier said then done, but just starting out with the smallest gesture can make all the difference. By just realizing that people are human can turn what seems to be a "bad day" into a whole lot better one. People are going to make mistakes, people will be grumpy some days, spills will happen,  and we don't always get what we want. Our selfish nature seems to kick in and blind us of the fact that no one is perfect...{besides God of course!}. Failure is a part of everyday life, but we mustn't be afraid of it! Instead, lets use God as our "big bat" to take on our troubles and learn from failure. Lets encourage others instead of seeking fault. God instructs us to build one another up, instead of tearing one another down.

1 Thessalonians 5: 12-15

12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

A positive attitude and encouragement really does go a long way.......I challenge you for one whole day to replace all negative thoughts and actions with positive ones and encouragement, not only will you feel wonderful, your positivity just might be contagious. :)

~Let me know if you take my challenge and how your day goes! I would love to hear any stories!
